Who Said it's Always Cold in Colorado?
I got to use my new toy for the first time today, the Go Pro Hero HD camera. It worked pretty well given the fact that we were riding in 20+ mph winds all day. The video didn't upload in an HD format, but I'll figure it out eventually. I think the video's alright for a first try.
Hockey Day in America
Obviously this is my first post, so we'll see how boring I can make this post until I actually figure out this whole Blogging concept.
Today is HOCKEY DAY IN AMERICA!! Yes I know most of you don't care and probably had no idea that this day existed or even care that it exists, well I'm here to tell you that it does. Sure hockey is the fourth popular sport out of the big four sports in America, but it's time for hockey to move up, at least above the NBA! Hockey IS the fastest sport out there. I think the problem is that a lot of people don't understand the rules of hockey. What are those blue and red lines out there?? Do they just like to paint the ice? If your not a fan I suggest you give hockey a try in person and not on TV. In person you can really appreciate the speed and skill that is displayed in the NHL. What other sport can you get in a full fledged fist fight and only sit in a box for 5 minutes as the penalty for this action. People might think fighting is setup or staged like wrestling, but its a great part of the game that helps keep the actions on the ice "Policed" by the teams.
I'm not really sure what I'm trying to say, but I just wanted to let everyone (myself since nobody else follows this blog) know that today is Hockey Day in America and if you have ever wanted to give hockey a try, now is the time! And if you have a kid of any age, let them try hockey because it was the best decision I ever made in my youth as I still love playing the sport today!
Here is a new social networking site for hockey fans, players, parents, coaches, etc. It is being developed/started by a former adult hockey league teammate. Give it a shot, I am.
